Art Shows

GMS is excited to present a series of free art exhibitions showcasing the talent and creativity of our participants artists. These exhibitions will feature artworks created during workshops held at our headquarters and partner social service agencies, providing a platform for expression and recognition for hundreds of individuals experiencing houselessness and poverty.

In our extensive work with unhoused members of our community, we've witnessed the incredible resilience and artistic potential within this population. By offering a space for artistic exploration and self-expression, these workshops aim to empower participants to harness their creativity as a means of personal growth and healing, while also advocating for social justice through art.

Art has a unique ability to provoke thought, inspire action, and amplify marginalized voices. Through these exhibitions, we seek to not only celebrate the artistic achievements of these individuals but also shed light on the systemic issues of homelessness and poverty, advocating for change and fostering empathy and understanding within our community.

The culminating exhibition at GMS's Annex gallery in the Pearl District will serve as a powerful reminder of the transformative power of art in promoting social justice and creating a more inclusive and equitable society.

Join us in supporting this initiative as we strive to amplify the voices and talents of homeless artists, providing them with a platform to share their stories, advocate for change, and inspire hope for a better future.
