Mullowney Printing Co. Collaboration

Gather:Make:Shelter is excited to be partnering with Mullowney Printing Co. to expand our offerings and offer deep arts mentorship for GMS participants. Throughout 2024 and into 2025, GMS has collaborated with Mullowney Printing Co. to offer a series of 15 workshops to GMS Project Participants. Throughout the collaboration, 11 GMS participants have explored multiple printmaking techniques under the tutelage of master printers Paul Mullowney and Kathy Kuehn. The project will culminate in an exhibition in spring 2025 featuring framed prints as well as a limited-edition collection of 15 portfolios.

During the 15 workshops, GMS artists have benefited from the hands-on training and participated in the collaborative culture at the studio, where leading and emerging artists share expertise and ideas. These teachings and connections have expanded GMS artists’ personal and professional resources, their practices and their community.

Mullowney Printing Co. is one of the leading printmaking studios in the Pacific Northwest and is regularly sought out by artists internationally for their printing excellence. This program is possible thanks to the kind support of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Killian Pacific, the Ford Family Foundation, the Undergrowth Educational Print Fund and John Miller.
